Located in Crescent Springs, KY, Buttermilk Pike Self Storage & U-Haul is not only a symbol of patriotism but also a showcase of modern storage facilities, featuring both single-story and multi-story buildings. Its slate gray exteriors with royal blue trim and gutters seamlessly blend with the vibrant colors of the American flag, which proudly flies atop Kentucky’s largest flagpole at an impressive height of 199.35 feet.
The owner has been working with Trachte Building Systems for the last 25 years. He chose to build this site with Trachte because the sales team is very responsive and helps with selecting the perfect unit mix for the most efficiency. He also appreciates how the erection crew is vetted and trained by Trachte and has the experience to do the job right. Trachte’s field services team made sure that the build stayed on schedule and was constructed properly. The site owner stresses the importance of having the same crew complete the entire job, as switching crews can cause major issues.
The 63,500 sqft storage facility was constructed in three phases. Phase A is a jogged, single-story building spanning 60×260 feet with an internal hallway and 9’4” eave. Phase B is a three-story building featuring a partially climate-controlled lower level with non-climate units around the exterior. It stands out with large windows and a spacious lower-level office. The doors are color-coded: the 1st floor in patriot red, the 2nd floor in bright white, and the 3rd floor in royal blue. Diamond plate corners and kick plates add a touch of durability and style. Phase C, an extension of Phase B, adds an additional 22,000 sqft and follows a layout similar to Phase B.
