When building a self storage facility, one of your goals is to build the facility as close as possible to potential clients. But in established neighborhoods, vacant land can be difficult or impossible to find.
Converting an existing building is the solution in these situations. In this example, Cedarburg Storage occupies a former industrial building. The now-renovated facility is on a main thoroughfare, and was large enough to house not only the storage facility, but also two additional businesses owned by the developer.
This facility offers clients indoor vehicle storage, and also features an indoor loading area where the truck loading docks had previously been.
